A group of people, sharing some characteristics in common or who have common goals – socially shared are not only about big important politically groups. It is just people who have the same interest, such as, dog lovers! Having Facebook groups, gathering dog lovers has its benefits. It allows them to learn more about: dog breeds, their characters, some tips such as what is best for them, how long the walks should be, how much food to give them depending on their breeds, what is the best dog treat, how to train them properly, how often you should wash them.
Or even have recommendations for professionals services such as veterinary care, grooming etc.. Having a dog is a big responsibility, it is always reassuring and pleasant to share advices on something that you love and, in this case, animals that you love dearly, and that you want happy. Some people don’t have kids and their dogs is their only big occupation in life, for these people these forums or Facebook groups are really important. This creates a community that can create jobs for dog sitters, as dog owners have the difficulty finding someone to take care of the dog. With Social Media and the creation of apps on the subject, it is now possible to find dog sitters (usually it is teenagers who want to earn some pocket money) in the perimeter to take care of dogs. This was revolutionary as it didn’t only help the dog owners in an incredible way. But it also saved a huge amount of dogs at the S.P.A as having a dog sitter solved the problem of what families should do with the dog when they go on vacation. Dog lovers’ groups also allow a first step to a connection between people. It is important for dogs well-being and happiness that they socialize and play with other dogs – especially if they belong to a one-dog household. Some people meet on Social Media in dog lovers’ group and start communicating about tips for dogs and then they actually meet at the parc and create a connection. Social Media for groups of dog lovers have an interest in common and create a virtual connection but also can create a real one.
As written in a dog meetup called myDoggySocial: Getting out there with your dog promotes an active and healthy lifestyle – with benefits for both yourself and your dog”.
